Economy Energy

Hi

So today a guy came claiming to be from Economy Energy or something. And he started saying how people are overpaying for their gas and electricity whatnot, how our services are better and cheaper. And i was like ok cool, so i filled up his form and didn't think much of it at the moment, but then i got papercard back, and i saw daily standing charge £26, i was like it can't be true, so i did some googling about this company didn't find any happy reviews about it. We are currently( my mom) are on british gas(electricity) & sottish hydro(gas) as pay and go, no monthly bills.

What this daily standing charge means. We spend no more then 100£ on gas in a month. So paying 26£ daily would be overkill i think.

Can someone explain me a bit more about this Economy Energy and should i cancel it?

Never ever sign anything at the door.

They're an energy supplier like any other company.

You've got the paperwork so ring up and cancel the switch.

Then research properly and go for the best tariff based on your circumstances, usage and if you need a tariff where you can claim the warm home discount.

The Warm Home Discount is not something we offer at the moment but we’re hoping to take part in the government scheme soon. We’ll let you know when this is available for Economy Energy customers.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
