Garden/Lawn edging for mowing strip
I am looking for some lawn edging that I can use as a mowing strip, but that also has a slight lip too to hold back a bit of soil in the borders.
I have found:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Piece-Garden-Set-Terracotta-Traditional/dp/B00URQ70AU/ref=sr_1_67?s=outdoors&ie=UTF8&qid=1463083475&sr=1-67&keywords=lawn+edge
But this looks a bit flmsy and would prefer brick etc if possible. Does anyone have anything like this already and if so did you manage to find anything simlar, but better?
Thanks in advance!

You'll keep a much nicer edge if you regularly strim the edges first, whether it has a flat mowing strip or not.
I'd recommend some rocks/stone of some kind. My favourite types are large angular granite or similar, which looks great, is easy to strim along without fear of damage, and stays in place really well. I'm not a fan of plastic strips as it's incredibly hard to make them look good when installing.
Forget wood if you want something that will look good for years.
This is the type of thing I'm describing http://cimg3.ibsrv.net/cimg/www.doityourself.com/450x300_85/553/landscape-edging-stone-plastic-brick-or-metal--553.jpg

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
I’ve moved your thread from the ‘In my home’ board to the ‘Greenfingered’ board, where it is better suited.
