credit report help

Hi
I currently have a debt of £3,500 and on my credit report theses are marked as a default payments as i didnt know i had these debts. Old address and an ex partner
Would i be better taking out a loan for the amount so that once there paid they will be removed after 60 days.
But it shows me having a loan of £3,500
Or paying these debts of slowly and eventually clearing them.
As the repayments will be the same as what i can pay these companies.
Thanks for any help or feed back.
