They are not the same kittens we picked up a week ago who just wanted to eat and be loved!!

They are now completely full of energy and inquisitiveness!! We have so far enclosed them in the living room as we have quite an old large house and need to do some kitten proofing but they aren't happy with being confined to one room anymore. Every time someone gets up to go out they are at the door like a flash waiting for the opportunity to escape! Will be blocking up every nook and cranny over the weekend in preparation for letting them explore inside!

They are funny little things and have so much personality. Mika is so much smaller than the others despite being the oldest. She sits quiet whilst the others are fighting and as soon as they start to tire she is right in there. Blue is the most loving creature I've ever known. He runs up to me every time I sit on the sofa and comes straight in for a kiss whilst purring his head off. Tao is the biggest and strongest and likes to show the other's who is boss but is gentle at the same time. His playful bites hurt far less than the others! He is also the most nervous and hides whenever there is any loud noise, where as the other two will come out to explore.

They are so much fun! :)

They had their first jabs yesterday. Tao is such a baby. Crying the whole time he was in the box and shaking like a leaf on the table. He cried so badly when the needle went in. I felt so sorry for him.

The other two however took everything in their stride and only let out a little whinge at the needle.

I let them into other rooms yesterday. They had a whale of a time running up and down the corridor :)

I've just got a new kitten who also finds his litter irresistible, rather than starting a new thread I thought I'd resurrect this one!

Can anyone recommend a specific litter type that won't cause blockages if he swallows some of it? Fingers crossed he will grow out of the habit soon enough but in the meantime I'm having to watch him like a hawk whenever he goes near his tray.
We've been using Catsan and it's so hard and sharp I dread to think what it could do to his insides
I've been trying to research this on google but there are a bewildering number of different litter types out there, I don't know where to start!
  • Think one called Natural and Clean from Ocado is edible.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I now use litter which looks like wood pellets. It is £5.50 for a massive sack in B&M. It just mulches down when it gets wet and is good for compost when the poo is removed! My kittens have no interest in eating it anymore!
