Just returned from Orlando this morning so thought I would post about my experience.
Previous visits I have flown virgin to either Mco or Mia but this time I flew in and out of SFB with Thomson.
Got to say it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Flew out from Lgw on a Dreamliner I was sceptical about all the hype concerning this bird but I was surprised how clean, quiet and comfortable it was. I had seats in row 36 outbound and row 34 inbound loads of leg room in comparison to the 747 virgin currently fly to Orlando. The cabin crew both ways were also brilliant.
SFB is small but very efficient yes it's further away than MCO but after landing we cleared passport control got bags and car and arrived at international drive quicker than flying in to MCO.
Coming home was much the same car dropped off, checked in and through security in no time. On the aircraft all ready to go in good time but we was slightly delayed leaving but nothing major.
All in all I can recommend Thomson airways and SFB instead of virgin/ba to Mco.
In fact once I am less tired I will be researching a return trip for this time next year as the weather was lovely without being too hot and the parks were not stupidly busy with exception of last weekend as it was Mother's Day over there.
Sorry if I am rambling on but just a touch jaded after long trip back to south west.
