Taking Vaping equipment through security?

My other half has given up smoking and like many others has replaced it with vaping and was wondering if anyone has experience of taking vaping equipment through airport security? Obviously any liquids are better in the suitcase but what about the hardware? Can the tank have liquid in it? I'm looking for experiences from people who actually vape.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

Any liquid must be in your liquid bag or hold luggage if it's in a tank of the pipe (or whatever it is) in your normal hand luggage or pocket, it could well be confiscated.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

Small amounts of liquid (up to 100ml) can be brought through in clear containers in a liquid bag as you say, the tanks on vaping equipment are generally clear and hold maybe 2-3ml unless you have the more advanced gear and even then it's only around 5ml so from a quantity of liquid angle there should be no problem, it's more the equipment, I'm interested in and really want answers from people who have gone through security with vaping gear or tried to.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

Thanks, we're going from Manchester terminal 2 and it's interesting that use is banned in the terminal yet they have a smoking area??????I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

I agree {after over 60 years being a smoker} and smoking where and when I wanted to I was a right pain to have to stop while in airports yet seeing the areas still there. Now I vape and do not worry too much if the areas are still there but cannot be used :0)0 -

To be honest, the only reason for this question is that it would be easier if my other half could carry the gear through as she is not a good traveler so she could have a few puffs before going in to the airport and as soon as we are through immigration in Reus, she can go outside and have a few puffs whilst my daughter and I wait for the cases (as we used to do when she smoked).I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

You can vape in the smoking area.0 -
Never had any problems with them in my liquid bags in UK Airports.
Munich Airport ditched my fluid on departure on the strength of the warning triangles on the two commercial bottles. My bottle of home-mix fluid was passed without comment and the fluid already in the tanks was similarly ok.0 -
I travel mostly hand-luggage only and I've had no problems with vape stuff going through security at London City, Nice or Zurich.
I put the hardware in a pouch together with usb cables, phone and laptop chargers, travel adapters etc
Liquids + filled tank obviously go with all my other liquids in the appropriate clear bag. I home-mix so it's in plastic bottles from fleabay, given that I also decant all my other stuff (shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, foundation, etc) in smaller bottles, it's a right jumble of small containers in that bag :rotfl:Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0
