Your friend will receive a copy of the information they gave over the phone, and there should be a Freepost envelope in with that. It used to be OK to take fit notes into the JC without an appointment but I don't know if that is still the case.
Tell your friend to make sure they fill in the section on the fit note with their name, address and National Insurance number. You'd be amazed at how many we received with none of the above.0 -
hi he hasnt recieved any correspondence yet but got a text yesterday telling him the claim was being processed and to send them a current fitnote but with no address as to where it is to go.Hence i wondered if he could take it to job centre.0

Do you know what you do with fit notes after the initial one? Do you just write the same address from the prepaid envelope onto a blank envelope and send it in that? Do you copy out the freepost code? Or do you stamp it?
DWP send you a reminder when the fit note is due to end and they send a prepaid envelope to send it back.
You can also take it to a JCP and they will scan it into the system and ESA will get it the same day.0
