M & S Bank switch

Hi to all. I have a question that I can't find the answer to without phoning M & S Bank that someone may be able to help me with. My partner has done the swich and received the £100 store voucher but the service is attrocious and difficult to manage with their new type M & S Pass (similar to a card reader except you don't enter your card. Its all done with coded numbers). My question is: How long do you need to keep the account before ditching it and finding some other bank? Any ideas? I have checked the website and can't find the answer. Their Ask Hannah portal is total rubbish as well!! A bit of personal advice is don't bother switching to M and S Banking it, is totally useless!! Thanks in advance.

That is the answer0 -
What is wrong with the MS PASS? Using it isn't rocket science.
I mean if you were ditching them because the CS of all HSBC provided accounts is terrible, that would be good reason.0 -
Many people on here just have an M and S account for the incentive and regular saver.
I have no idea why they cannot have a login with limited access like HSBC and FD do either via an app on online without requiring the pass key. They have a fast banking app for recent transactions but I have never been bake to get that set up - I was told by them I could not have this app if my ipad or phone also had an HSBC app uploaded - very bizarre as you can have an HSBC and FD app.
Due to these issues I could never use them for my main account.0 -

Totally agree with how limited the M&S Bank App is, however it will work fine alongside both HSBC and FD apps. Whoever told you it wouldn't is incorrect.0 -
I have all of HSB, First Direct and M and S banking apps on my mobile phone (Android). They all work okay, but agree that M and S app is limited.0

Maybe - but their fast banking app simply won't work on my ipad and I have tried several times to register.
I didn't say I had an HSBC app already - they gave that as a reason why their app wouldn't work for me. And I spoke to the technical team - not just customer services. I agree it's totally bizarre but maybe for some technology there is an issue - why make that up.0 -
Above all: Don't panic captainmainwaring! Sorry, couldn't resist0

Believe it's hsbc behind the scenes.
