Help! My boiler has stopped working!

I tried to put the water on to heat up earlier this evening but my boiler appears to be completely dead. It was working fine this morning.
The pilot light has gone off & i can't get it to come back on. It is a Baxi Solo. Does anyone has any ideas what is possibly wrong or will i have to call someone out & if so who do i call?
Thanks

It has 3 50 PF writen on the front is that the model? & no there is no noise at all. I have tried twiddling the little knobs that usually makes the pilot light work & nothing is happening.Madison's mum

Turn the knob on boiler to off, wait 5 secs and turn on again to reset.ifnothing happens + theres no indicator lights on boiler, check the fuse at the isolator switch (should be 3amp) if you change fuse and still nothing, check trip switches at main board, if still nothing call an expert GORGI guy in.
I was BTW by coincidence going to try and put a poll up for what you would expect to pay for an expert, CORGI and OFTEC qualified heating and plumbing engineer outwith London

Hi
Power supply would be a start, have you blown a fuse in the supply to the boiler? If you change a fuse make sure it's a 3 amp one (red)

Thanks, i will get the husband to change the fuse in the morning & see if that helps. I have just checked the trip switches & the one marked shower is down but we don't have a shower so i'm not sure if that's supposed to be down. I cant see one marked boiler, would it be labelled? Sorry for being thick but i've never needed to know this stuff before!Madison's mum

Hi
You would have a fused switch near the boiler or in the cupboard with the pump etc. or a plug and socket (ditto.)
It is possible that the fuse on the consumer unit is the boiler supply and has been converted from the redundant shower circuit. You would still have the above though
Good luck

Well the husband switched the boiler on today & it worked fine. Not sure what it was up to yesterday, would it be worth getting someone out to give it a once over?Madison's mum
