House insurance increases after claim....

How much difference does it make? A lot or a little or depends on amount...
I've got personal affects cover, and my expensive(ish) headphones got lost/stolen. I'll have to check the excess but chances are the claim will be about £100.
Worth bothering with insurance claim or is it going to cost me more in the long run with increased premiums?

Gut feeling is not worth claiming,
If you are declaring a no claims bonus then you'll lose that and get loaded for a few years to come, so add it all up and it's not worth it.
Insurance isn't a lot of use for small claims unless it's got no penalty (like say travel ins or some employer medical schemes).0 -

Run a dummy quote through a comparison site with a £50 claim and see how much the premium is compared to no claim. Redo with claim in April 2015 and again in April 2014. That will give you an idea of effect over three years. Don't use identifying details0
