I am looking for some replacement ink cartridges for my Epson SX 405
I will not pay the £10+ per OEM cartridge that Epson want
In the past - I have sourced them from Amazon (at about 50p per cartridge - when buying 20) eg) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Compatible-Printer-Cartridges-replace-T0715/dp/B00GKJROH2/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1462975384&sr=1-4&keywords=epson+ink
Is it worth spending slightly more and getting known brand - such as Viking or http://www.cartridgediscount.co.uk/ink-cartridges/compatible-t0711-t0712-t0713-t0714-cartridges-full-set-2-extra-black.html
These are still, considerably more than Amazon though
What would you do ?

Personally, I've always bought the cheapest I could find. The only issue I've had is that the colours aren't quite as accurate when printing photos.
I must've saved hundreds over the years, despite not printing much.0 -
What do you reckon to https://www.amazon.co.uk/Compatible-T0711-T0714-Cartridges-DX9400F-SX600FW/dp/B019Y9MVRW/ref=pd_cp_229_1/277-3539981-1422012?ie=UTF8&refRID=7YKYQ3MN0F9EWM43ATZC
It appears TOO cheap (30 pence per cartridge) and they claim to be XL ?0 -

Looks similar to the kind of thing I would buy. I've very little to go on, but as I say, I haven't personally had any problems when buying ink (although I don't print that much).
I wouldn't have a problem with the price (although the cheapest chipless ones I've ever found were about 50p each). I'm sure all the cheapo cartridges come out of the same handful of Chinese factories anyway.0 -
OK In the end - I ordered this very pack using Amazon Prime on months trial (already cancelled) - free delivery - the ink arrived next day and as far as I can make out is exactly the same as Epson charge £10 for a single cartridge for - and I have 30 individual cartridges for the same moneyLooks similar to the kind of thing I would buy. They appear to be full and print in colour
