Pru protect

Options
Hi can anybody help me please,I'm looking through all my policy documents but I can't find the list of illnesses covered/ recognised by my life cover policy with pru protect.
Does anyone have the list as I don't want to ring the insurance company until I've looked for myself first.
I know the terminal illness one is if life expectancy is 12 months or less but my husband has a diagnosis of 1-3 years or there abouts as each individual is different.
They say in the plan details they will also pay out on serious illnesses that meet their criteria but cannot find the list.
Thanks if your still reading.

It will depend on the type of plan you have and when you took it out.

It would be better to phone Vitality and ask them to send you a copy.

If it's life cover only, then you are only covered in the event of death. The terminal illness element will normally be relevant if the policy holder has been diagnosed with less than 12 months to live. If there is no definite then you may struggle with the insurer.

Do you have an additional element to the policy such as serious illness cover or income protection?

You probably wouldn't find a list of conditions in any policy docs if it's just life cover.

Terminal illness cover is a life cover bolt-on.

Serious/critical illness cover is an additional extra and there are several options, such as essentials and comprehensive.

Either way, contacting the provider is the only way this is going to resolved accurately.
