Credit card missing on credit report??!

I had a credit card with Aqua back in the bad days when I was defaulting all over the place (<2012). I went through a debt management plan and cleared myself of all debts in 2012.

As you can imagine, once I settled these accounts, the products that they related to also closed. But out the blue I got sent a statement from Aqua in around 2014. Keen to improve my dirtied credit rating, I called them and asked for a replacement card and PIN, which they sent. I've been making small purchases/repayments on that ever since.

I'm now looking to apply for a mortgage, so have applied for my statutory credit reports from the big credit agencies, and the Aqua file stops in 2012, with zero purchase history since then? As in - the information stops in 2012 and states 'settled'.

Should I be concerned about this??

If it states settled and there is nothing prior then your all fine
  • Maybe Aqua stopped reporting to the credit reference agency where you got this particular credit report from - not every credit provided reports to every credit reference agency.

Have you got copies of your report from the big 3?

Different lenders use information from different credit reference agencies, so you'll benefit from making sure the information you're looking at is the same as the lenders.

This was Callcredit, so am waiting on Experian and Equifax. Although the fact Aqua was on there previously seemed as though it should have been included at a latter date as well.

Usually bad debt is reported to all 3 CRA companies.
However, your "new" account is not a bad one and providers do not report to all CRAs
