Phew! Thanks for letting us know. Has there previously been a problem with W10 updates?

And for completeness, I've just done the W7 and W8 updates and no problems with those either.

I am downloading windows updates now, got W7, it,s been at it over an hour, and still only at 2of 19 .
Is anyone else having this, or is it a very large update?
    update!
that,s another hour gone, and still on 2, so presume they must be corrupted.
    Cannot see them finishing?

I'm thinking that the speed (or lack of) will, to some degree, be dependent on the speed of your machine and your BB speeds.
The W10 update took 12 minutes start to finish on my home machine, but the office machine took about 40 minutes on a slower connection and a slower machine.
Anyway, no problems with either of them.....

Hi....Sounds like it's stuck somewhere.....A restart might get it going again.....6 hours definitely isn't right.

Having posted #2, I went to shut down having finished for the day and the Shut Down button wanted me to allow updates before closing. I chose not to do so and went to look at what updates there were (W7) and guess what? That nasty unscrupulous KB3035583 was back as a recommended despite having been hidden many times.

I know I can install a utility to prevent it offering "those" updates but I choose not to. I want to be in control of when/if I go to W10. Going to update (13) this morning ....... I may be some time!

Done in record time. Actually took longer to create a restore point! Now having fun with lappy. Hasn't updated since March!! Just sits there "Checking for Updates" Asked Auntie Google and, apart from the "download this to fix Windows" there are a couple of things advised by MS. Therefore it is a known issue and if that is the case why don't they fix it with an update ......... oh they can't because I can't get updates!!!
