Thomson group booking price and conformation probelms

2 and a half weeks ago we made a group booking in our local Thompson shop for 20 people in 2017, the shop verbally have us 800 pounds discount and the lady in the shop also called the main Thomson call centre which gave us an extra 60 quid a person off, the next day I paid the deposit over the phone for everybody via credit card.

The lady called me back a day after that and said there was a problem with the 60 quid a person off the call centre had gave us (they are saying they misquoted it) and she was escalating it to an area manager to sort, it's been nearly 3 weeks now and several phone calls and I still don't have any paper work what so ever with the prices on and I have never signed anything, just 1275 quid down on my credit card, I think this is so unprofessional having to wait this long whilst the shop and the company squabble between themselves, and i don't really know what to do for the best! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I would agree. Not acceptable to have to wait whilst they sort out the issue internally.

Can you push the shop along and call them to say that you wish to make an appointment to come in and see the regional manager at a certain date and time to get this matter closed? I would suspect that this would get things moving as I doubt the RM will want that to happen.

These days many Thomson and Thomas Cook agencies won't have a manger in situ. They often have one manager covering several shops. The regional manager will likely be travelling around an even greater geographical area. For this reason just turning up at the shop might not get the decisive answer you are seeking.

Hope you get the satisfaction you are after with this matter.
