PPi refund query

Hi all

I've received a cheque this morning from Barclays for £80.50 for a ppi refund on a resolve loan taken out on 25th January and finished 1st February 2000

The loan amount was for £550.

I had a look at an online ppi calculator which showed the ppi due on the above loan to be about £190 ( i assume this includes all interest and deducted tax etc)

My question is, how reliable are these online calculators?
Thank you in advance for any information. I still have 2 claims that have been upheld and are in calculation stage so hope that they have got it right

If you paid the loan off early [did you pay if off in a week?], the rebate for PPI would have been included in the settlement figure so you won't have paid much over 2 months.
This is something online calculators dont take into account.

If you have solid evidence (not simply an online "calculator") that you paid more PPI than the Bank are offering to refund then present this evidence to the Bank. Otherwise, request a breakdown of their calculations if you remain sceptical.
