Claims Company: Revisit Claims Letter

Hi,
Got a letter form the Claims company we used for our PPI's, which proved successful.
Now I know I may well have saved money going down my own route, but what's done is done.
Now thing is rejected PPI Claims have a deadline at the end of this year, and I have received a letter (as has my wife), detailing them that they will look to process the claims against the rejected claims we had.
I haven't kept the paperwork and am now a bit in the dark who we did and did not get stuff back from.
I'm just wondering if I might as well just sign the docs and send it out to them, it gives them authorisation for 3 years to act on my behalf.
The only thing I'm wondering about is, will these companies come to me and say that my case is being re-assessed automatically? This would mean I wouldn't need to pay the almost 34% fee involved. But if they aren't entitled to come back to me, then I guess it would be better for me just to get the CC to deal with it?
TIA

What deadline is that?
There is no "global" deadline. And the only deadline you have is 6 months from a rejected complaint to refer the case of the FOS.I'm just wondering if I might as well just sign the docs and send it out to them, it gives them authorisation for 3 years to act on my behalf.
no no no. This is an attempt to get money from you for doing nothing. The only thing I'm wondering about is, will these companies come to me and say that my case is being re-assessed automatically?
Yes. Any of the banks or providers that have been told to review cases will do so automatically. You do not need to do anything. If you used a CMC and were rejected previously and it ended like that and the bank now decides to review the complaint and change the decision without any input from the CMC then you are not required to pay the CMC. However, if you sign an agreement like the one you have, you will have to pay them even though the CMC has done nothing at all.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for that.
That was my only worry.
If it was upto me to go back to the companies, I would be in the dark, as I honestly can't remember who we had the things with and who rejected and stuff. That's why I wouldn't really mind in the end if the CC acted on my behalf as I wouldn't have a clue who I'd need to send things too.
In regards to the deadline, according to them the FCA ruling last October their was a breach of CCA74. At the top it just states "Deadline Date for PPI and PPI rejections to be set at end of year", "New Investigation into rejected PPI Claims".
As you said if they are going to come back automatically then that is fine, but just wondered if they had dealt with the CC before, would they actually come back to me though or would they come back to the CC?

The CCA of 1974 is nothing to do with PPI directly. Although there is a small area where it could come into play with some rejected complaints. Also, whilst the FCA has been consulting on a deadline for new PPI complaints, it has yet to put one in place and it would be at least 2 years from the point it is announced.
The claims management regulator has said that claims companies cannot charge for revisited complaints unless they had some involvement in them being revisited. By putting a retainer on you, this looks like a way for them to be able to charge you should your complaint be revisited.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
