Unreasonable credit refund timescale?

Just a quick question.
Currently £450 in credit with Spark Energy. Switched providers 3 weeks ago and the change over date for both gas and electric was today.
Spoken to Spark who have offered a part refund of £200 and the remainder when my final bill in generated (3 days use as submitted readings on the 7th).
In regards to the refund they have said:-
"Your part credit will be refunded within 28 working days. Once the final bill has been generated, the remainder of your credit refund will follow within 28 working days of that."
Is 28 working days the industry standard for getting your own money back?

"Within" 28 days is the norm. Some are quicker though. I left Zog, switch date 17th March, final bill 31st March, money in my bank 1st April !0

Suppliers are required to use reasonable endeavours to issue a Final Bill within 6 weeks of the actual transfer. That does not mean that you will get a refund immediately as suppliers have an escalating approvals process. The greater the refund the longer it takes. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
