Just thought id have a little vent!
£450 in credit with Spark Energy. Switched providers 3 weeks ago and the change over date was today.
Contacted Spark Energy in regards to my credit, said they can issue a part refund of £200 as my final bill hasn't been generated yet. That's fair enough.
"Your part credit will be refunded within 28 working days. Once the final bill has been generated, the remainder of your credit refund will follow within 28 working days of that."
So 17th June i'll have to wait till for my first part! The good old digital age of 2016!

When I switched from First Utility in May 2015 I had to wait 3 months for a final bill and the £123 my account was in credit was not refunded until September 2015. I'm sure if I'd owed them £123 in the May they'd have not waited until a final bill was produced in August before demanding I pay them0

Hi BrentMeister
I'm so sorry to hear about this!
You shouldn't have to wait for the remainder of your credit as part of a separate refund.
Sometimes there can be a delay in getting the readings from your new supplier, which may cause a delay, but at this stage that wouldn't be the case.
If you'd like some help please contact me using the details on my profile. I'd be happy to check where we're up to and I can personally monitor the refund and final bill process to make sure you're not left waiting for your credit.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Why are you £450 in credit with an energy supplier!. That money is just sitting in their accounts earning interest instead of being in your account earning you interest!.
I would have changed my direct debit amount long before it got anywhere near £450 credit. I always aim for a 0 or slightly negative balance because the money is better in my accounts that theirs!0
