We had our panels fitted in 2011. I tried to contact the company as there was a problem with the reading and inspection is due anyway soon. Do I now have to write off the 25 year warranty and the inspections? Who do I contact if anything is wrong?

You might be better off posting this in the Green and Ethical section of MSE.

However I suspect you will one of many who will have this experience.

Like solar thermal the Solar PV 'industry' has many cowboys who were out for a quick buck. Now, thankfully, the stupid subsidies have been reduced these people will simply move on to pastures new; they won't stay around to honour a Guarantee.

Check all your paperwork to see if the Warranty is insurance backed. If this is the case, then contact the insurer for advice.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I emailed the panel company's warranty insurers and they will send me a claim form.
