How long is a quick wash?

Eco wash doesn't just refer to the time taken Maybe it's a cold water wash or a wash cycle that uses less water.
My speed wash on a 40 degree cycle is 62 minutes.
I found this on another forum about ECO washEcowash! I was very exited about this and used it the first oppotunity but found it useless. I would say that it's not too bad for freshening up a small load but I think it's more effecient to put them in with the rest on a warmer cycle. Maybe I would use it if we had lots of office work clothes. Everything seems to be very soiled in our house
So it seems to be pretty useless!!
Indeed I would hazard a guess you end up using more energy and water as the clothes are not cleaned properly.
Looks good on the marketing I suppose.
If the machine is on for 2 hours it will be using electricity if it is spinning that is hardly eco,
if it is not spinning you might as well bung the lot in a big bucket of cold water,
Or you could hang it in the line in the rain just like mine now, I hung it out to dry and
it has been peeing it down, I though it was gonna be sunny.:rotfl:0 -
Funny this should pop up today, as I used the "daily wash" on my new machine for the first time to wash some particularly grungy-looking towels from my classroom sink!
It was 28 minutes, and I have to say, very impressed! I'll be using that function a lot more I think! Because most of my clothes are never "dirty" anyway. They just need a freshen up.Because it's fun to have money!

My machine has a 20 minute quick wash which is great but you do have to actually look at the clothes before you put them in because it obviously cant cope with anything marked or dirty. As someone else said if you then end up washing things again it's not really saving anything.
Oh and yes the 20 minute wash is only an 800 spin. Again putting it on to spin again seems to defeat the object a bit but if its a good sunny day then its not a problem.0 -

My washing machine has a rapid 32 minute cycle with a 1000 spin and I do everything on that apart from DS work clothes, occasionally run a hotter wash for towels & bedding.

My machine has a 15 minute 'superquick' programme that washes at 30 or 40 degrees.0

Quick flick of a flannel on the face, pluck the nose, grit the teeth, and wash me hands. All done in ten seconds, bet you can't beat that!0
