CDW for two drivers

Hi,
Does anyone out there know if you need to get CDW per driver or if one covers both drivers please?
It's in Mallorca, we're friends, not family/married, we may be driving independently of each other on occasion, but we have hired the car together.

CDW is provided by the rental firm and will cover any additional driver in the contract.

If you mean CDW excess waiver insurance bought separately, you need to check the particular policy provider's terms.

It's probably a single charge with potentially an additional fee for the other driver.

It's normally a lot cheaper to buy a stand alone policy in the uk before you travel, only problem being that if you do have an issue you'd have to pay the hire company and then claim back.

I'd also recommend reading the thread relating to Goldcar rentals before booking with any car rental company as this points out the various rip off tricks that you may experience especially with CDW excess.
