Title, but not name, change after marriage

I was wondering if anyone had any experience in just changing title after getting married? We've chosen to keep our own names, but being a "Miss" doesn't feel right any more, and I'm planning on swapping to "Ms".

I know passports are title-less, but was wondering what anyone else's experience with changing titles is? Does it need all the same paperwork as a full name change?

You don't need any paperwork - just start using Ms.

If you want to change things like bank accounts, just write and tell them how you want to be addressed.

I went into the bank and asked them to change it to Mrs. They didn't need any paperwork. I haven't bothered with most other places, but I don't think it's likely to be a problem.

Your title is not part of your legal name so it should not require anything other than informing the relavant organisation.
