Nhs exemption card

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew the thresholds to get help with glasses, dental etc
I know if on full benefits ur entitled to them free and if you earn under £15k but d there any other thresholds where you can get skittle but if help or if they pay half etc ?

It's just recently I had to get some meds from a&e and i nearly ended up having a row with the doctor and my sister over this the doctor and my sister were saying I should be entitled to something even a small amount towards these costs as we get ctc but I'm adament we're not eligible for any help

If the following applies you get full help and would have automatically been sent an NHS tax credit certificate.

you must be earning £15,276 pa or less AND one of the following also applies BOTH working tax credit and child tax credit

WTC on its own which includes a disability element or a severe disability element
or CTC on its own because you are not eligible for WTC.

There is no partial help except under the low income scheme and you have to be fully means tested for that

Have you been sent a certificate?

Request a HC1 form, fill it in and see what comes back = http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/HealthCosts/1128.aspx

The other option is to get a Prescription Payment certificate = http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/1127.aspx

I think they meant little bit of help, but autocorrect was having a boring day and wanted to liven things up a bit.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
