Is there any way around this?

Dd boyfriend wants to join us on our family holiday. We have 2 apartments booked through Thomson. Boyfriend is 17. If I could book him separately as an adult he would get a one bedroom apartment to himself which Dd would share. However because he is 17 there needs to be an adult on the booking. We are already booked.

I can't add him to our booking without having to share our apartments for the same price he would pay to have his own if he were 18 and can't book him separately as an adult as the pdi information would show he is 17.

I can't get through to Thomson by phone at present.

Any ideas on how to overcome this? Hope this makes sense !

If there is room in your apartment can you not just book him flight only?

Flight only was over £200 more than the package deal ! There wouldn't feasibly be room in our apartments for another 17 year old.

I think really you need to keep trying to get through to Thompsons because in the end it'll be them who can answer your questions, not us.

can you not just book the 1 bed apartment in the name of one of the adults in your party?

OP is booking a package, the flight would need to be in the same name as the apartment.

Thanks for responses. All resolved now.

Eventually got through to Thomson and added dd boyfriend to our booking. He is classed as a child as he is under 18 although he has been charged an adult fare!

We now have 3 x 1 bedroom apartments so 2 people (1 of which must be an actual adult) in each. We will probably swap things around when we get there so dd and her bf get their own apartment.
