Working Tax Credits

Options
Hi ..I have transferred from DLA to PIP was on high rate Mobility low rate Care ,Now Standard rate care low rate Mobility.
My wife works 30 hrs and claimed working tax credit no problem so far ,NHS prescription card expired last month rang WTC today to enquire where new card was, informed that no longer entitled to automatic renewal of exemption card as I am not on higher rate PIP but will have to apply direct to NHS for approval for new card This has surprised me as I and possibly a lot more did not know about this rule regarding the PIP award, not bothered about prescription charges as both over 60 but cost of hospital travel is around £50 per visit
So now waiting for new forms to arrive
More fun

There is no low rate PIP mobility. Have you given them the correct information? Worth checking?

OP, apply for an HC2 exemption. If the household income is below a certain point you can apply, and can get hospital travel refunded from the bursar's office.
