My partner was self employed up until April this year,not had our tax credit renewal in yet. She will declare what she has earned for the year 2015-2016 as she has for previous years.As her income will be zero for the year 2016-2017 will i need to tell the tax credits this or wait until next years declaration?

    She should inform tax credits that her self employment has ended within 30 days of the change happening.
