Hi Guys, I'm not sure if this has been covered before. I'm having problems with my Freesat box recordings. It seems to be mainly BBC programs but did do it once on CH4. For example, I set the box up to record "Put your money where your mouth is" & it regularly only records the last 10mins. On the 6th I recorded the final of "Masterchef" & it recorded from 8.30 - 8.59, then from 9.02 - 9.30. Also I recorded on the 8th "Britain's Ultimate Pilots" 7.01 - 7.31, then 7.33 - 7.58. On the same night on CH4+1 I recorded "The Worlds Most Famous Train" & that recorded from 8.00 - 8.31 then 8.33 - 8.59 There are no other programs scheduled,so not clashing & have approx 80% Disc free. So I miss 2 mins of the program. Help please.

Check the time on the box .

May be worth a factory reset and retune .

    What model is the box?
Unusual anyway. Definitely try a retune anyway. On my Humax HDR, when I do a retune I lose my scheduled recordings - jot them down or something first so that you can set them up again.
There's also a setting in somewhere for a buffer before and after programmes - so that you definitely don't miss anything at the start or end - mine's been left at 'auto' and I never miss a second, and it records right at the beginning of the programme. Maybe you have similar?

Thanks for the info guy's. It's a Goodmans GS104TRH32. (320Gb)There is no clock on on the box. I will try a reset as tonight it split 2 programs I recorded each into 3 parts!!! Missing 2 mins between each part:mad:

We used to have this problem, well similar, where recordings would be set up and the PVR would just refuse to record them. Turned out we were asking for the wrong channel to be recorded - for BBC we had to use 802 not 1. Only found it by setting up a recording and sitting and watching the thing in (in)action.

There is a firmware update to 1.2.0 on the Goodmans website, does not say what it does but might be worth a try if yours is lower..

There is no clock on the front of the box but there should be on the EPG, it is automatically set.

The clock is going to be a red herring. Program recordings are based on triggers included in the transmissions these days so that they can even cope with delayed starts and the like. There may be a setting allowing recordings to overrun the end trigger but I doubt it. If the recordings are fouling up my suspicion would be a low signal strength/quality (so check that out) or just plain buggy firmware.

The retune is worthwhile as BBC have dropped BBC3 now so some of the (fictitious) channel numbers have altered.
