Apart from Topps Tiles, is there any other shop that sells non-slip tiles for bathrooms/wetrooms? I have tried my local shops (Homebase and Wickes) and they don't seem to have any non-slip tiles.

As long as you don't fit polished porcelain you would be fine underfoot
50x50 mosaics in the wet area or a proper R rated slip tile envelope cut
CTD tiles are nationwideHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

I looked online, and my search for CTD tiles led to a shop in Watford called the Tile Depot. I phoned them up to make sure they had non-slip tiles in order to avoid a wasted journey. They told me they had.
When I got there, and asked about the non-slip ratings, they had no idea! One person told me the tiles were 'non-slippery' and she did not seem to grasp the concept of a rating. She then called her colleague over who told me they had non-slip tiles with an R10 rating (but I know this does not come into the non-slip category).
Neither of them seemed to grasp the issue.
I am looking for tiles with a non-slip rating. It's for a disabled wet room, and need to have all the proper ratings.
I wasted a lot of time in Topps Tiles on the same issue where they tried to pass of an R10 rating as non-slip.
I'm still looking for non-slip tiles with the correct ratings.0 -
CTD stands for Ceramic Tile Distributors. Try a google search of that instead, maybe?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You’re not providing the essential e.g specs Your bog standard domestic tiler is going to be pretty clueless (predominantly they fit what client wants has bought if asked for a recommendation it wouldn’t be based on anything other than preference 99% of the time?? Same goes for your primarily domestic wholesalers wickes Band Q tops etc
You have test method/assessment e.g, UNI ENV, PENDULUM, BOT3000 etc with associated shod or not angled or not cleaning methods etc to give you a recommended tile a guess I’d say DIN 51130 R12 /13 mainly (studded 6" quarries pass just about everything but not what most want in there house ) or (DIN 51097) C
http://solusceramics.com/ would do what you want use there tile finder etc but plenty other out there .
Unfortunately just asking where to buy “Tiles” without other info etc generally only going to get a uneducated answer?0 -

Sorry if I am unclear. The question I am asking is where to get tiles with an official non-slip rating, suitable for a wet room. Therefore some of the tiles will be on a gentle slope, and the rest will be flat.
In retail shops I've been met with vague claims such as 'these tiles are not slipper', accompanied by the shop assistant rubbing their dry hands along the dry tile. I need to know how the tiles are when they are wet, and where to buy such tiles.0 -
Your works have either been specced/assessed or hasn’t ( you just want tile you won’t slip up on ?) Unfortunately big variation in tiles e.g R11 rated tile may have SRV (Slip Resistance Value)/ PTV (Pendulum Test Value) between 34 – 51
Commercial fitter would install a tile e,g,PTV / SRV of above 36 so some R11 rated tiles would fail due to the variation Where R12 (PTV / SRV 51 – 70) or above would pass (R13 for slopes )
If you want a tile that offers minimum requirement without spec/ design etc you want (DIN 51130) R12 or above / DIN 51097 “C” tile
What does ptv srv mean in really basic terms PTV of 24 would equate to 1 in 20 chance of a fall/ slip on the surface PTV of 36 1 in 1 million chance of a slip/ fall
Above din R12 / C are all you need ask the wholesalers if they don’t know what those specs are chances are they won’t sell you the correct product ?
As an example https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/r12/ shows there R12 rated tiles
Asking if they are slip resistant etc really wont get you far you want a Rating of Resistance to slip R12 or C is what you need??????????????? anything else you'll likely end !!!! up on the floor0 -
You won't get an attractive R11+ tile. The tile will be stipple/studded/polka dot effect
There are plenty of textured mosaics , 25x25/47x47 and with he added grout lines will look well and provided added grip. It may not have a rated R behind it bit experience tells me it works
If your wanting a commercial finish then you may as well just use AltroHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Thanks, I had not heard of Altro before. I've looked it up, and this could be suitable provided it can be fitted in the wet room which will have a generally flat floor, but a slop by the shower.0 -
Altro in a wet room would need to be rolled up to wall by 120mm. You would need to use a specialist in this field as the corners need welding
Always think it still gives a clinical look,
You do run into issues if using screens as you must not cut the pro- forma trims that roll the vinyl up the wall.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0
