Replacement kitchen work top

Struggling a bit with finding a replacement kitchen work top as I need 40mm x 60mm x 3000mm run (for new hob). Can be beech butchers block or even straight beech effect but needs to be high quality laminate to match the other counter tops.

I noted here someone said Axiom is no good. Is that Formica? only they do a version I was looking at. Can anyone recommend a source of good quality beech effect laminated worktops (not solid beech as we have three counter top runs and are only replacing one).

Magnets, who supplied the original kitchen, no longer do beech worktops. A lot of people do them at 28mm thick but not 40mm. I went to look in Builders Depot which had them in stock but they were on top of a large stack and they were not prepared to get one down for me to look at. I see Benchmarx do one but they are trade only so I would have to get the tradesman to buy it for me, if it is recommended.

Helpful suggestions welcome.

If its in Benchmarx you will probably be able to buy it fro Wickes as they are the same company. You will be able to tell that its a different worktop to the other lengths though
Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!

Try Duropal. They do a beech block. Comes in 40mm.

Duropal are the manufacturers and distribute through a range of worktop suppliers. You can also order samples from them

From personal experience I don't rate Axiom at all.
