We are planning another visit to Paris, and I have found some of the vloggers on Youtube are very helpful. Non-stop Paris (a British woman) and Jay Swanson, an American. He also worked for a bike tour company, but I haven't looked at those vlogs. Today, he went up the Tower and gave a lot of information which would be useful for anyone considering it. The comments are also usually very helpful. Bon voyage.

Transferring from CDGairport to central Paris. On this trip we used the bus into Paris, the 350 or 351, which are normal Paris buses, 6 euros or 3 tickets per journey to the centre. We were going to Gare de l'est as we were travelling on from the city, and the 351 stops and starts right outside. We were told to allow 70 minutes, and the buses don't have set times, but are very frequent, the stops give the earliest and latest times. While we were waiting we chatted to some people who had given up on the queue for the RER, (the light rail link) and there were only about six of us who got on the bus at the airport, a completely different experience. We paid on the bus. If you aren't under time pressure, and don't have masses of luggage it's a good option. The bus does stop frequently, which is why it's fairly slow, and doesn't have a lot of extra space for cases, it's just the usual town bus we'd be familiar with in the UK, not a coach with a lot of luggage space. If you come in at Terminal 2E, you need to walk down to 2D to find the stop, but it was easy and well-signed.
A second thing to mention is that Jay Swanson has posted a good guide to cycle tours of Versailles on his youtube channel. I've found following some youtubers has really helped me decide on what will be good to see and do around the city.
  • Hi, we are going to Paris next month for a few days for the women's world cup, staying in the centre of the city. We would like to take the kids to Disneyland for one day and wondering what's the cheapest/best way to travel from the city centre to the disney parks? What buses/trains etc, what type of tickets? As we are only spending one day at disney, we'd like to get there as early as possible and leave as late as possible, but this needs to fit in with using public transport. Any advice is appreciated! TIA!

As bradders says RER line A. The first train will get you there before 6am and the last return is after midnight which should be long enough. The station you need is Marne-la-Val-Chessy and you can investigate fare options here:
