Thermostatic Shower Valve - No Hot Water

Hi,

The shower in our bathroom no longer pumps out hot water from the hose attachment (I'm pretty sure it still does from the main shower head - it's been a while since I've used it!).

I remember over the last year we had to gradually increase the dial to become hotter and hotter as the water started coming out cold. By the end, the temperature was set to its highest (40 I think) and now we don't get any hot water out! Does anyone know how to fix it? Or would we have to replace the whole valve? Thanks in advance.

Why don't you take 20 seconds to confirm that the main shower head is working correctly, there's a good chance that it isn't :o

I'm at work at the moment but can check later. Would that affect the cause/solution?

It will just be the thermoststic cartrige will have scaled up.
You can try descaling it, or you can find the replacement cartrige on the web, just make sure you get the right one, as they look similar.
