Just been refused my first life insurance with legal and general due to 1 health problem, are there any more friendlier companies, that are still affordable?

Refusing you cover has nothing to do with being friendly or not. To be refused outright suggests a serious health problem or an ongoing problem where the condition is at a stage where it could get worse or is unknown (i.e. tests still to be done).
Your best bet is to get an IFA to do a search for you They can submit your case direct to underwriters and ask how they would consider it. This way you dont waste your time building up a list of insurers who refuse you requiring you to declare this on applications you make for the rest of your life.
However, you ought to prepare yourself for most rejecting you or offering significant increases in premium if they do consider your application.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
