No credit history, cannot get loan

I am writing on behalf of a friend who has onky been in the country for about 18 months, has applied for loans been refused. Assuming due lack of credit history plus not been in UK for 3 years.

Any suggestions?

I've told her not to keep applying for things hoping one might say yes in case all those applications go against her.

Also, Would her situation also go against her if she applied for applying for one of the zero interest credit cards such as the one Martin lists in recent newsletter for purchases?

Her main need though is to obtain a certain amound of funds.

It's unlikely she will get a loan or a 0]% card. She should look to try for a sub prime card in the first instance, to build some history.

Someone like aqua or Vanquis. They specialise in the poor/no credit history market.
