Headunit not working - After flat battery

Hi
I was listening to music in my car, and the battery went flat.. its happened before, but I assume it happens fairly quickly as I have a sub and amplified front speakers.
I jump started the car again as I sometimes need to but the headunit has no power now at all. Im abit clueless as to what I should be looking for in order to try and fix. I thought i'd ask so see if anyone has any ideas on what to look for and where to look :beer:

If you'd just spent £40 on a new battery instead of flogging a dead horse, then this probably would have been avoided.
Chances are the jump starting upset the radio circuit and blew a fuse somewhere.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Thanks..
Its not anything to do with being too tight to buy a new battery. My battery was replaced not too long ago, so I was surprised when it died after around 30 mins of listening to music..0 -

The sub and various amps will drain the battery quite quickly.
In your case, it's probably the internal fuse that's blown (should be easy enough to get to).:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
Thanks RMG1 for answering the question asked.
Lesson learnt anyway0 -
If it's not the fuse, I would guess at a small component being fried by the jump-start and it would need to looked at professionally (unless you're handy with a soldering iron and component level repair).
The fuse will probably be of the 3A quick-blow variety.
::edit::
Can't take credit for this, Strider mentioned the fuse first (post #2):wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

In the end, all I had to do was remove the fuse, which was actually fine, plugged it back in and worked fine, oddly.
Now that will remind me to buy an ipod , cheers0
