Which colour for my room

I cannot decide which colour or colours to use in my room. My furniture is mahogany, my carpet is light brown. I have mahogany windows and doors. White skirtings, white dado rail and white plate rack. a third of the room is bathed in sunlight from two velux windows the rest of the room is more shaded. I have a traditional look with wing backed chairs which I intent to have recovered, so colour not a problem.
Does anyone have any sugestions ?
I am bogged down with paint swatches:(

You have not so many options as it seems. Choose som light and bright color such yellow, lemon, soft lime(Crown Paint). It make room lighter and bright dark corner, Don't choose magnolia!!0
