Can I sign on elsewhere in the UK if I'm searching for work there?

I am wondering is anyone can help me...

I am correctly living in the North East but am going down to Devon for all of August to search for work closer to my family but I have not asked the Jobcentre about it as I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice..... I will possibly have an interview but that will not be confirmed til until mid July when the company owner is back in the country.

Thank you for any advice

  • If you are still claiming JSA just before you move then inform them of a change of address.

    Yes you can.

You can also give JCPs an address you'll be at it if you're away on holiday for 2 weeks in another part of the UK.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.
