Switching providers each year

I was thinking of switching providers each year for my phone, TV or when the contract is up to get the best deal and the freebies the companies have on offer. Does anyone else have any experience with this and is it worth it? Have you had any problems before?

It doesn't have to be annually you can also opt out when they increase prices. I'm on my 3rd in 12 months and now looking to leave BT. Each time I've had a good deal, cashback and gift cards.
The main drawback for me has been spending one day setting up all the devices with the new password and the BT speed took a while to get established this time.0 -

Rather than change the devices to match they SSID and key of the new router, just change the SSID and key on the new router to match what the devices already have. Or come up with your own SSID and key and stick with that.0 -

That's what I do I just change the router wifi details to match all my devices in my home which is much quicker and easier.0 -
I've threatened to switch telephone and broadband for the last 3 or 4 years;I'm with Plusnet and always use Sky/TT prices to aid "negotiations" -so far, I've managed to get a deal with PN which is as good overall as I could get from Sky or TT (cheaper line rental and calls counterbalancing "free" broadband offers).:)
TV services I deal with seperately; I actually cancel with Sky -hang on til they come up with a half decent offer then negotiate.
Its easier to deal with TV this way as its a simple switch on to restore the service even after the cancellation goes thru'.:T0 -
Thank you, I'll have a look at changing the router details. I knew I used to do something different years ago but thought technology had changed to make it easier lol. It might have to wait until my next switch if I have to change all the devices individually.0
