Bangkok for my 60th - Flights/packages

Hello everyone,

I know that you are all so helpful to those asking questions on this forum, and I am wondering if maybe you could answer mine?

I am going to be 60 in December! and I want to go to Bangkok with my daughter to celebrate. As I wish to go on the 12th December and possibly come back early New Year, 2/3rd January, I was wondering what is the best way to go about getting the cheapest deal?

Should I book a package deal, or just the flight? I have pals in Thailand, and they would like me to stay with them, but I somehow think that the package deals are better, even if I only use the flight and not stay at the hotels.

Do any of you have any advice, or perhaps could point me to the best sites on the net? I have done a search, but I am now full of facts and figures, and I am hoping that there is a quicker way to get the best deal.

Thanks for reading this.

Maybe you can start with your best offers and we'll see if we can better it.
  • I have always booked flight only and hotels from another website. Worked out a lot cheaper. Are you planning on staying in Bangkok the whole time?

If there was one best site, there would never have to be another thread containing the same old question.

I have always found that Expedia is good for flights - I used to book flights for my ex boss constantly and both of us found that Expedia was best.

You could always try flying Qantas as they stopover in Bangkok (horrid place if you ask me).

That's three things on which we disagree.

Have a good one Lynn. I'm just behind you, 60 in Jan and flying to Thailand in feb. We're going with Emirates. Went with them last year and it suits us from Man and an evening flight. They were just over the £500 mark.
  • I think you'll be looking at around about a grand for those dates Lynne
