  • Old model 80gb ipod (reduced price at comet) = 159
New model 80gb Ipod Classic (New from Dabs) = 152.82

The Classic Ipod (aka the old style) comes in two sizes 80gb and 160gb. Yes, you're correct, the 160gb is 70 quid more, but the 80gb is now 160ish (or cheaper if you click the link above)

So, that was not a pointless post, i'm trying to stop people being duped by Comet into buying old stock that has been reduced to the price of the new stock. Apple has dropped the prices quite significantly and the stores are being forced into reducing the prices of their old model Ipods so they don't look out of place.

Wait 2 weeks, buy the new Ipod - don't fall for this trickery

NOTE: This new ipod looks nearly identical to the 'old' ipod and is not the fancy touch screen model / wireless model. That version only comes in 8 and 16gb editions and is rather expensive.

    i thought the new 80gb were 189.99
  • Nope, 159.99 on the Apple website:
    http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=browse&mco=6196E414&node=home/ipod/ipod

People who don't buy a new 'classic' ipod are seriously being duped at the moment. Wait a week, the new ones will be out very soon
