I'd try a damp cloth to start with. Is it just a thin layer of overlap from an adjacent plastering job? Or a big dollop that's been dropped from a trowel or similar?0

Soak it with a wet cloth and rub at it.
For stubborn blobs, still soak it, leave it for a few minutes, then use the flat side of a new stanley knife blade to get behind it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It's simples, wet it, leave it, and then scrub it off.
There no issues here.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Always came off with a damp cloth for me when cleaning up after having our rooms skimmed.
For muckier frames a bit of upvc cleaner can bring it up nice and shiny (I use the screwfix no nonsense stuff).0 -
Thanks everyone0
