GAP Insurance Claim
Hi
I have just had my car writen off due to a flood, my insurer and my GAP insurance are happy to pay for the loss but i was just wondering what they pay out for.
I have "Return to Invoice and Financial Shortfall GAP Insurance"
The car cost £13500 and it is all paid off but this cost on the invoice includes
£700 delivery to the showroom
£525 Metalic Paint
£53 Luxuary mats
£55 Vehicle First Registration Fee
will all of these be deducted? will any of these be deducted?
Thank you so much for your replies

I don't want to sound unhelpful, but surely you are more likely to get an accurate answer by reading the policy, rather than asking random strangers on the internet.0

if they were all on the invoice and included in the final price, then you will get it back.0

How old is your vehicle?
Are you the first owner from new eg first name on the log book?
Who are you insured by for the car insurance?0 -
Return to invoice is exactly that, whatever was the total amount the invoice.0

It should be the full amount. However as it is gap insurance the gap needs to be agreed. This is between your insurance company and the gap company.
You could become piggy in the middle if they don't agree the write off figure.
A friends insurance company agreed with him a write off figure, his gap company disagreed and he was without a car for about 4 months.0
