Getting paid cash - declaring to HMRC

Hi,
I have got a job working 10 hours per week on an evening. I get paid cash at the end of the week - I have given them my NI number and everything for the accountant so its not a cash in hand job but I do get paid by cash. Will this affect my TC when it comes to renewal?

You still have the right to have an itemised pay slip (plus other rights) regardless of the number of hours you work.

Why won't you get a P60 ? As pmlindyloo suggests, if you;re employed there's nothing wrong with your employer paying you in cash, but they should still be giving you payslips, a P60 etc , making any deductions for tax and NI and reporting back to HMRC on your employment
Or are you saying that your are working 'cash in hand' or as self employed ?0 -
Keep records (although as others say, your employer should provide these).
Handy to pay the cash into ATMs or over the counter at a bank (even you withdraw it again), so you have receipts of deposits in case HMRC ever do a compliance check on whether you're working at all or x hours etc. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -
Did you have to give your NI number to verify your right to work in the UK?
As could be that they are treating you as a self-employed contractor that they get in to do work for them (obviously don't know your work or the circumstances). Make sure you and your boss/client are in agreement over your status.0 -
Is this your only income?0
