Cheap hairdressing

Options
You may find this amusing:D

I hadn't been to the hairdresser for the longest time and as good salons cost the earth in the interests of money saving I went to the local college.

For a bit of fun I said I would love something that would suit my hair type and age. So I ended up with a really nice trendy hairstyle that does actually look amazing. The student thought (I asked her afterwards) that I was between 35-40. I am 64 in September:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Don't you just love the younger generation

    I'm thinking of doing this.

I have waist length hair that needs a really good trim, but it's over 20 years since I've been to a hairdressers.

I looked at prices in a window & can't believe what they are charging so I'll get the college rung up & see what they say.

Our local college has offered their services to the community for at least the last 50 years, but nowadays appointments are almost impossible, as they are taken by staff and students.

Have you thought of complaining to whoever is in charge? Our college is quite good, you can always get an appointment. I had a pedicure last week. It costs £7 plus £3 if you want heated booties :rotfl:

I had a 'special' manicure and pedicure a few weeks ago at our nearest college. £10!

    Unfortunately, it took two hours!

Yes, that's been the experience of colleagues who've used our local college. It is often EXTREMELY slow, can depend on what stage of studying the student is at and how confident / competent they are.
