Petplan - £18 a month, expensive for 1 healthy cat?

Just to give you an idea of how the price rises over time with Petplan, my cat is now 13 and her premium is £32.75/month with £125 excess per condition and I have to pay 20% of costs above that.
I was unfortunate to have to claim my full annual amount a couple of years ago, but I was really impressed by their efficiency paying out claims and also with the fact they do not hike premiums following a claim. I have two cats of the same age - one has ongoing health issues requiring regular medication (one of the mediations is £120/bottle) and was very ill (£8k bill in total), the other rarely needs to go to the vets except for the annual jabs - the premium for each was the same each year. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0
