Does anyone have the card, would it be possible to confirm that it's a MasterCard World Elite card (from the image on card page, it is) and if it is do you get the standard benefits of airport lounge access, concierge as well as status recognition that come with MasterCard World Elite?
I ask as the card page talks about zero FX, cashback and annual fee returned if you hold a Rewards Black current account (N/A to my circumstances) but I can't tell if you get the aforementioned benefits that come with MasterCard World Elite which I'd like as I can then cancel my German card for which the fee is much higher without the option of any cashback, miles/points and zero FX etc.

Well, I might just apply for one at RBS, apparently you only have to be earning 15k p.a, must be a typo surely.
Must be 150k.

You will get what ever the card page says you will get, RBS/Natwest has been changing things recently. Some old customers might get more than you would get, as a new customer.
Do you have a black current account, otherwise it will cost £84 per year.0 -

Given that the average APR is an eye-watering 33.6% then they've either made a massive mistake, or they don't expect people to pay off anything other than the full balance every month.0 -

I'd get looking at Halifax Clarity, Lloyds Avios or the AMEX range for better value.0 -
Its not a mistake it appears as the same 15k figure appears in other documents.
The card has free foreign transitions fees, but doubt it would be worth the £84.
I thought the "black" brand was for private customers only, how odd.0 -
Just get the standard card and attack it with a black Sharpie0

the card does look cool, but i'd go with PW and use Amex.0

I don't have a black account but the £84 fee is paltry in comparison to the 600€ I currently spend on a similar card.PeacefulWaters wrote: »I'd get looking at Halifax Clarity, Lloyds Avios or the AMEX range for better value.the card does look cool, but i'd go with PW and use Amex.0 -
PW?
PeacefulWaters, the previous poster.
On MasterCard's own website, the MasterCard World Elite says "MasterCard World Elite" on it. NatWest's black card doesn't have those words on it, so, together with the fact that none of the benefits are mentioned on NatWest's website, I think you can safely assume that it isn't one of those cards and you won't get the benefits.

Are there any cards left without a 3-digit fee that give free airport lounge access?0
