Missing money transfer between bet365 and nationwide

My husband recently withdrew £111.80 from his online bet 365 account. The money was sent to an old nationwide account that had been recently closed.
It was withdrawn on the 25th of March and both nationwide and bet365 are insisting the do not have the money and neither have yet to send and proof despite us repeadly requesting it. After many calls to both companies we are no further forward. Nationwide seem to manage to loose track of our calls each time and we have to go through it all over again.
Where do we stand on getting this money back? One of the companies had it but neither will lift a finger to sort it out!

It would have gone into the account that you switched too from the Nationwide.
Part of the switch is redirection of any credits into your old account for a period of 36 months (dependant on when you did the switch it could be 12)
Have you checked the new bank account, if Bet365 have said they have sent the funds, then it must be in your account already. There will be no sign of it in Nationwide as the account has been closed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Correct me if I am wrong but I dont see any mention of SWITCHING in the OP ....just closing
Be careful of giving what seems like definitive advice if you're not sure ..... see your post in my thread on funding too late in the month ...you were wrong there.... and although I'm sure YOUR heart is in the right placeI'm getting a bit fed up with some of the comments on here ....
Edit: Sorry Westie ....my comments sort of still stand, but reading back I think I was a bit harsh..... getting fed up with some of the remarks on this forum......0 -
OP, you really need to respond to the issue that the previous two posts have raise between them: is the Nationwide account closed as a result of you using the switching service to move to another bank? If it is then Westie has given you the answer, if not then the money will either be at Nationwide (most likely in a suspense account) or at Bet365's bank (either in their account or one of the bank's suspense accounts).0

In my experience this is par for the course with Nationwide CS, I suggest you go down the formal complaint route. Make sure you keep diligent records as Nationwide will 'lose' the complaint at least once.0 -

you make a valid suggestion that no mention of switching but I didn't say any words that suggested guaranteed, just that checking the account that was switched too as that could be a a factor in where the payment was.
