    Morning All

CCL - Thanks for starting us off today, hope your meeting with the head goes well

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Gosh I just can't seem to shake this exhaustion - so tired all the time, didn't sleep well either as went to bed in a bad mood and have woken up the same and really annoyed with DH, thanks to him clattering about like a lunatic at 5am. Today I will:

Packed lunch for DH - Done
Tidy round (as DH's 3 sisters are popping in this afternoon and I always feel they judge me - one actually said don't worry about house being untidy my friends is worse, it was tidy at the time ) - It was all ok, the "rude" one didn't come
List couple of bits for sale -
    Collect my Prescription - Done
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer - Done
Buy small gift for SIL (as nothing suitable in gift cupboard) -
    Check Bank - Done
Check Passports (after watching news) as we're off to America in August (please keep everything crossed that they are ok and have this "chip") - Done, they are "chipped" - phew
Car in for it's MOT - Passed (just a couple of "advises") - another phew
    Ironing - Done
    Continue purge on Emails -
    Complete a few surveys -
    Read -
Enter a few comps - Done a few
Check https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win - Done
Check Lucky Phone, numberplatelotto, Ashleigh, etc - Done

Have a good day! I'll be pleased to make it through the day without strangling anyone. Love to you all!

    C x

Well its ended a better day than it started, still really tired but less grumpy.

    Thanks for all your well-wishes.

Bob - hope your son feels better soon.
MTC - sending love and hugs, you seem under so much pressure at the min, really hope things turn for you soon.
LaE - Congrats on DH's job.
Yorkshire - Hope you manage some rest this weekend.

    Night all x

CCL Thanks for getting us stated this morning. Good news about the meeting going well and the anxiety reducing.

La E Congratulations to your husband.

Bob Hope ds make a speedy recovery. One time when I had tonsillitis I ended up sipping red wine to numb my throat so I was able to drink water. I can remember trying to drink the water quickly before the numbing effects wore off :rotfl: I wouldn't recommend this for your ds an ice lolly is probably more suitable.

Ziggy I know what you mean about in laws being judgmental, we stopped invite OH's family around many years ago, we would prefer to travel to the less anxiety inducing and if it gets to bad we can leave - have done this more than once. One compensation is this lot are no where near as bad as ex's family.

Lego Mum Good to her the free garden make over is also lifting the emotional cloud.

MTC No idea if you have made a decision about the rental property yet. You could try and work out a list of pros and cons for staying and going, look at each situation from all angles financial, emotional, practical etc. and see if that helps you reach a conclusion, good luck with whatever you decide.

HelleBelle Good luck dealing with the tax credits.

Yorkshire Try and get some rest this weekend if you can.

    The Good:
    1. OH took the children to the HE ice skating session, greatly reduced price
    2. Packed lunch was taken and eaten
    3. OH oxygen was delivered
    4. OH prescription was delivered, as I'm not in a shop I can't buy anything
    5. I roasted the mass of peppers and courgettes I picked up at the market, most will go in the freezer and some I will save to go with a Lebanese inspired meal
    6. Meal planned Friday & Saturday, now rolled over to Saturday & Sunday, see below.

    The Bad:
    1. OH fell over at ice skating and badly hurt his back
    2. OH was unable to drive all the way home, BIL needed to give me a lift to rescue him
    3. BIL was on call to take OH to A&E, BIL is an A&E nurse there so he would have been able to do some bits himself, saving our time and NHS resources
    4. resorted to take away tonight but we had the one I suggested, a third of the price of what OH choose

    The to be thankful for:
    1. Friends, for taking off OH's skates, helping with his shoes, carrying bag to the car etc
    2. BIL was on call to take OH to A&E, BIL is a nurse there so he would have been able to some bits himself, saving our time and NHS resources
    3. BIL doing (and having the skills) an assessment of OH at home, basically went into professional mode, less struggling in and out of vehicles for OH, the hospital wouldn't of done anything for him as it is muscular, BIL gave him a pain relief schedule as well as what he should and shouldn't do and what to expect
    4. Have a car seat that swivels, made it a lot easier for OH to get in, still very painful but less than it would have been
    5. Enough money in the bank to ease the storms
    6. The NHS, it will be there if OH gets worse
    7. OH having understanding employers
    8. OH having a job which is flexible and he will WFH when he can, even if it is only in short bursts
    9. Good weather, this would have been much more akward to deal wit in the rain/snow/hail we had recently
    10. Understanding children, both are doing what we ask of them, OH may get fed up with dd's ministrations
    11. Downstairs walk in shower and toilet, OH has been making great use of these
    12. Access to OTC medications
    13. We are all alive and the rest of the house is sleeping

    Silver lining
    1. OH will be off work next week, so we get to spend more time with him

OH was supposed to be back from ice skating at 3.30pm by the time we had got him home, he had been assessed, I'd been to BIL's to collect some codeine and Asda to get various OTC meds for OH, helped him undress before his shower and dressed him after and all the other things I needed to do to help OH cope with the shock as much as the pain, it was nearly 7 o'clock OH decided we should have take away so we weren't extremely late eating, after a very quick chat, I rang the chip shop to check they were still open and to place our order (they are open less than 16 hours per week  but they are good) out in the car again to collect before the locked up.

It has been a funny old day, hoping tomorrow runs smoother. Night everyone hope all who need to sleep can.
