I hear about current accounts paying decent interest levels, do Barclays have these? I cannot find them or any other decent accounts for that matter

For 'any other' see Best Bank Accounts
Barclays is good for Blue Rewards only:
Got a Barclays current account? Here's how to get £48 per year0 -
Nope; Barclays hasn't gone the route of offering an attractive current account interest rate.
Blue Rewards is the nearest thing and for those who qualify represents an easy £48 a year - by my shaky maths that actually beats a Santander 123 account if your average monthly account balance is under £3600. If you happen to have a Barclays mortgage you get an extra £5/mo, home insurance gets you £2/mo, and a personal loan is another £1/mo. So, that's potentially £12 a month cashback - though you'd have to be signed up to a lot of financial services.
Barclays also has an *okaaaay* cash ISA at 0.8% and a *pretty good* HTB ISA at 2.27%. The also do AFAIK the second-best children's regular saver on the market at 3.5% (losing out to Halifax's 6%). The other savings products aren't much to write home about.
If it's bang for your buck you're looking for, perhaps best to look elsewhere.: )0 -
Thanks, I'm putting money into the HTB isa but it's only my second month so only £1400 in so far. I have got money in a cash is a too and get 1% on that for having over 30,000 in it but I feel that is not a very good return. The 2.27 rate on the HTB isa is much better but can only save such small amounts0

Have a look at Regular Savings accounts as well.0

I like the look of those grumbler but they only let you put a small amount in, it would take multiple accounts and a long time to utilise 30k0

Use other current accounts. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5374614
Drip-feeding Regular Savers will boost the overall interest you can earn from your £30K.0
