E: 12/06 Win A Recipe Feature In Red And Cookbook Deal With HarperCollins (effort)

https://www.redonline.co.uk/food/win-a-cook-book-deal-and-recipe-feature-in-red

To enter, entrants must select one category of cuisine (either West, South, North or East African cuisine) and submit five full recipes and 10 recipe suggestions based on that category of cuisine. As part of their five full recipes, entrants must include one full recipe for a dessert and one full recipe for a vegetarian dish. Entrants will need to include up to 100 words for each full recipe explaining the inspiration for the dish and what it will taste like.

Entrants must also submit up to 1,000 words about themselves, why they love their chosen cuisine and how they cook.

The prize is a recipe feature and interview in Red magazine and a cookbook deal with HarperCollins, including a cash advance of £10,000.

Four finalists (one entrant from each category - West, South, North and East Africa) will be selected by the judging panel. Each finalist will be invited to attend an interview with the judging panel at a time, venue and date to be determined by Hearst Magazines in its discretion in June 2016. Entrants must be able to attend the interview and bring two fully cooked dishes for tasting by the judging panel. Entrants must have submitted the full recipes for these two dishes as part of their entry. Entrants must demonstrate that they have exceptional knowledge of their chosen cuisine, a passion for cooking it, a flair for communicating their passion and of course the ability to create wonderful recipes. The judges will choose one winner from the finalists based on who does this the best.
